All’asta sul sito di e-Bay un 'lotto' imperdibile, il dittatore Than Shwe, leader della giunta militare birmana.
A venderlo al migliore offerente un cittadino danese, Jan Egensborg, che con il ricavato dell’incanto intende sostenere finanziariamente le proteste anti-governative in Birmania.

"Generale in vendita", recita l’annuncio on line di 'Surrender' (Resa), l’associazione di artisti di strada della quale Egesborg fa parte. "Sappiamo che il generale è un pò ingombrante", è scritto nell’inserzione, in cui c'è anche una foto del despota dell’ex Birmania, "ma d'altronde, dopo tanti anni al potere, uno tende a ingrassare.

E poi, con i suoi vestiti militari, è piuttosto goffo. A causa del suo temperamento imprevedibile e iracondo", continua il beffardo messaggio su e-Bay, "raccomandiamo ai nuovi proprietari di incatenarlo alla fine della giornata lavorativa. E attenzione, siate preparati a veder volare i piatti, se pronunciate in sua presenza la parola 'monaco'".

Egesborg e la sua compagna, Pia Bertelsen, hanno già fatto infuriare la giunta a luglio quando, su un giornale birmano, pubblicarono un'inserzione con un messaggio in codice nel quale si chiedeva libertà per il Paese asiatico, e Than Shwe era definit o un "killer". l’artista ha dichiarato di aver deciso di "mettere all’asta" l’uomo forte del regime birmano dopo i tragici eventi degli ultimi giorni.
